Two months have gone by and my little man is growing like a weed! I’m about a week late with his two month update, but I guess better late than never!
Here’s his two month update; He is 13lbs 13oz and 24 inches long! He is getting to be such a big boy, I’m almost worried he’s going to outgrow his 0-3 month clothes pretty soon.
The last four weeks have been fairly uneventful. He is eating like a champ, right around 48 oz of formula a day! Which is awesome because he is growing… but let me tell you that formula is pricey and unfortunately our little guy is extra sensitive. So far he can only tolerate Similac Total Comfort for a whopping $28 per box! But that is a rant for another day.
This month he has started to react more to other people’s voices. When his daddy gets home and starts to talk I can see him following his voice from clear across the room. He is also a very independent baby. Sometimes He just wants to lay down and talk to you. He seems to be eager to stand and walk. He can support his own body weight for a few seconds at a time and he has a lot more control over his head.
All of the sudden he seems to be unhappy in the bathtub, which is a drastic change from last month. However he didn’t mind getting into Grandma and Grandpa’s pool over Thanksgiving.
His acne has all but cleared up in the last few weeks, which I’m super excited about.
He loves to sit and talk with us. He’ll sit and smile and coo at us and anyone else in the room. He is overall a super happy baby.
Unfortunately it looks like I may have given the poor little guy my nasty cold. But we’re hoping it will clear up before his next dr. appointment on Saturday.
Little man sleeps for right around seven hours at night, which is wonderful! Now I just have to practice putting him back into his crib instead of snuggling every night. But he’s just so cute it’s hard.
I can’t wait to see what the next few weeks will bring for us! He Will be three months old on Christmas Eve and I can’t wait to have a baby for Christmas. There’s something about children during the holidays that make everything just a little bit more magical.
