Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I am so excited to celebrate with my family this year. Speaking of celebrating with a large group of people… Have you ever wondered why thanksgiving is the one holiday during the Holiday Season that doesn’t involve the entire neighborhood? One Month Old

Young Sir turned one month old today. I can’t believe it’s been a whole month already! This past month has gone by so quickly. With everything that has been going on, I feel like I have almost missed this month. Lets face it I was pretty drugged up for the first two weeks of his life. However, even with all the drugs we still got to know each other pretty well this month. Continue reading “One Month Old”

Birth Story

.It’s funny to write this story. When it all began I had no idea what I was in for. I felt prepared and Oh-so ready for our little man to make his appearance, I just didn’t have any idea it would be such a…… what should I call it…… an experience. Continue reading “Birth Story”

10 Easiest Ways to Induce Labor

Since today is my due date, and my little man has yet to arrive I decided to do a bit of research to see if there’s any way I can speed up his delivery. But I am also a firm believer that he will come out only when he is good and ready (or with the help of medical professionals). So I found the easiest ways to induce labor and I’m going to try some of these.   Continue reading “10 Easiest Ways to Induce Labor”

What to Ask on Your Hospital Tour

I was so excited to go on my hospital tour and it was actually a lot of fun. Our tour group was very small just two other couples, one was a set of first time parents and the other couple had five other children. It was nice to have a mix of experiences. Primed Birth Prep Course Review

I’m so excited to be working with Primed Birth and the Tummy team to bring you a review of their online courses! They generously offered my course for free but rest assured all opinions are my own.

Motherhood is something I have been looking forward to since my husband and I decided to get married. I have always wanted to be a mom. Unfortunately our path to parenthood wouldn’t be as easy as we hoped. Continue reading “Primed Birth Prep Course Review”

DIY Messenger Bag

Right before my freshman year in college I was looking for a very specific bag to carry all my school supplies in. I wanted a messenger bag big enough to fit all my books and my laptop with a few pockets and a place to put some pencils for easy access. Unfortunately all the bags I found were too small or too expensive. I figured it was time to put my sewing skills to good use and designed my perfect bag. T Continue reading “DIY Messenger Bag”

Do’s and Don’t’s Before Your First Doctor Appointment

Congratulations! You’re expecting! Now what? Well first you should get an appointment with an OBGYN to check on the little one. It may be a couple weeks until they can get you in based on how many weeks pregnant you are. I was in denial, so I didn’t take a pregnancy test until I was about eight weeks pregnant. Which was actually great for me because, I only had to wait a couple days to go to my first doctor’s appointment. But Boy-Oh-Boy were those few days excruciating. I am not a patient person and waiting a few days for an appointment was a nightmare. So like any crazy person I spent hours online trying to find out what I needed to know before  stepping foot the in doctors office. The good news is you don’t really need to do anything. The bad news is you don’t have anything to do while you wait. Continue reading “Do’s and Don’t’s Before Your First Doctor Appointment”

DIY Doggie Cooling Mat

Summer is tough on my two English Bulldogs, and this summer we’re all sweating it out without air conditioning. I felt so bad for my pups, I needed to find a way to keep them cool. I found a few awesome looking products, cooling vests and mats. But of course my brain is always set to DIY and I thought to myself “why pay $50 bucks for that when I could make one myself?” and that’s just what I did. This cooling mat is sooo easy my dogs could probably do it themselves. The best part is That I made it using things I already have around the house. Continue reading “DIY Doggie Cooling Mat”

Crate and Rotate: A Simple Solution To Dog Fights

When my oldest pup turned three we brought a new puppy into the house. How fun a new puppy! Everything was going great until the pup was almost a year old. Then out of nowhere their playful fighting turned into the real deal. For a while it was just annoying. Then our older pup started getting little cuts. But again I didn’t think it was serious, until one of her ears started swelling up. Continue reading “Crate and Rotate: A Simple Solution To Dog Fights”

The Inside Scoop On Dog Food

We first brought home our tiny bulldog puppy, determined to do everything exactly right. Starting with her food. So we bought her the most expensive dry food in the store and were sure we were making the right decision. Then life kicked in and we couldn’t afford to spend as much on her food. Now it was time to do some research and decide what would be the second best. Turns out after doing some digging, even the crazy expensive dog food wasn’t necessarily what was best for her.
