I knew I had entered my nesting period when I insisted on cleaning our self cleaning oven by hand. The thing is, the oven was clean… but not like new clean, it has been stained by years of use, and the self cleaning feature only burns away the dirt. It doesn’t remove the stains and such. So I enlisted my sister’s help to remove the oven door so I could reach better. Inside and out. This is when I pulled out the best natural cleaning tool my secret weapon. Since today is my due date, and my little man has yet to arrive I decided to do a bit of research to see if there’s any way I can speed up his delivery. But I am also a firm believer that he will come out only when he is good and ready (or with the help of medical professionals). So I found the easiest ways to induce labor and I’m going to try some of these. Continue reading “10 Easiest Ways to Induce Labor”
I have always loved the look of royal icing on cookies. If done right it can really make something impressive. But sometimes it’s more fun to make something slightly less impressive but much more fun. That’s when I came up with this Halloween Sugar Cookie recipe. Continue reading “Halloween Sugar Cookies”
My mom used to make English Breakfast Scones for us as kids but it has been such a long time since I have had them. But I was craving them and had to experiment a bit.
This year I wanted to come up with something different for my Halloween display. That is when Genius struck and I came up with the Halloween Popcorn Garland. Inspired by the Christmas popcorn Garland. Continue reading “Halloween Popcorn Garland”
I was so excited to go on my hospital tour and it was actually a lot of fun. Our tour group was very small just two other couples, one was a set of first time parents and the other couple had five other children. It was nice to have a mix of experiences. I see blog posts about side hustles all the time and they each have the same things in common. 1) they are all low paying, low skilled jobs and 2) everyone has the same ideas. So I thought I’d throw out one side hustle that I have really enjoyed and that makes a significant amount of money. Continue reading “The Best Summer Side Hustle”

I’m so excited to be working with Primed Birth and the Tummy team to bring you a review of their online courses! They generously offered my course for free but rest assured all opinions are my own.
Motherhood is something I have been looking forward to since my husband and I decided to get married. I have always wanted to be a mom. Unfortunately our path to parenthood wouldn’t be as easy as we hoped. Continue reading “Primed Birth Prep Course Review”
Guess what Ya’ll! I was nominated for The Blogger Recognition Award. How sweet is that? Last time I won an award was at the county fair when I was 15. I’m super stoked about it. Let’s get one thing straight first. My mother is a saint. The Lord dealt her a pretty sucky hand in life and I don’t think anyone could have done a better job raising her children. Continue reading ““You Are Not Special” The Best Advice Mom Ever Gave Me”
I am so very excited to share this project with you guys! It could have been excitement, it could have been pregnancy, either way I had been up all night, trying to decide how I was going to cover the ugly floor in the baby’s room. I considered all kinds of DIY area rug solutions and nothing was quite right. It was either too expensive, or not big enough, or didn’t go with the room. Thought about just putting carpet down, but again that was too expensive and didn’t appeal to my creativity. But while at the carpet store I asked them what they did with all their leftover carpet samples. This is when my best idea ever was born! Continue reading “DIY Area Rug For Less Than $5”
Halloween has been a long time favorite holiday of mine, and movies are also one of my favorite things. But scary movies are NOT my thing at all. I have nightmares from watching NCIS. So for halloween I’ve come up with 21 not-so-scary Halloween movies and shows that I can enjoy all month long! And the best part is, each of these can be found on Netflix (as of 2017, you know how Netflix likes to take away our favorite shows…). So take a look and start enjoying the spooky season! One of the worst feelings in the world is having a loved one sick and in the hospital. Then almost as bad is getting the bills in the mail, sometimes while they’re still being treated. I know the feeling well. Opening those ominous envelopes and seeing five figure numbers in bright red ink. Then receiving another bill from the doctor, then the other doctor, then the radiologist, etc, etc, etc. Pretty soon you’re holding over 30k in bills and are completely overwhelmed. Here’s what you can do to reduce these bills. Continue reading “Reduce Your Medical Bills by 50%”
One of the biggest blessings in my life are my two adorable pups. I don’t know what I would do without them. Most Sundays at our house are filled with cooking, church meetings, and hair spray. But this Sunday I decided to take my hubby up to the mountains and just spend a relaxing day.

I’ve always had a problem with invitations. On one hand I feel like paper invitations are a waste, because guests almost always throw them away after the event. Which would make online invitations the way to go right? But how tacky is it to send evites or Facebook invites for a special occasion? But paper invitations are so expensive, plus you have to pay for postage which increases the price by a fifty cents or so. Can you see my dilemma?
